Family Service of the Piedmont offers Diagnostic, Assessment & Referral Services as well as Co-Dependency and Addiction/Chemical Dependency Counseling to individuals and families from Guilford and surrounding counties to identify the needs and problems facing the persons and families being served. The primary focus of our services is to connect the individual and/or their families to the most appropriate services within their community and engage them in mutual efforts to achieve desired outcomes.
Diagnostic, Assessment and Referral services are designed to provide comprehensive assessment and referral to individuals with alcohol, drug or other substance abuse problems which include appropriate evaluation of the needs of co-dependent individuals, family members, and significant others. Co-dependency counseling provides comprehensive appropriate evaluation of the needs of co-dependent individuals, family members, and significant others. Addiction/Chemical Dependency Counseling services offers support and counseling to those individuals who are addiction to substances but are not in the acute phase of treatment.
All staff providing substance abuse services to clients are required to possess a Masters degree in counseling, psychology, or social work. Staff members are required to seek and maintain licensure and/or certification through the appropriate substance abuse certification board. All substance abuse professionals will possess the training to provider services to clients across the life span.
