More about Panic Disorder
If you experience panic attacks, you may suffer from Panic Disorder.
According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (4th edition) there are several essential features of Panic Disorder which include:
1. The presence of recurrent, unexpected Panic Attacks.
2. At least one of the attacks has been followed by one month (or more) of one (or more) of the following: persistent concern about having another attack worry about the possible implications or its consequences such as losing control, having a heart attack, "going crazy" a significant change in behavior related to the attacks
3. The Panic Attacks are not due to the direct physiological effects of a substance (prescription medicine or drug) or a general medical condition.
