FAMILY SERVICE MOVES INTO JAMESTOWN
Family Service moves into office space at Mary Perry Ragsdale YMCA
JAMESTOWN, NC—Family Service of the Piedmont, Inc. has moved their corporate office to the Mary Perry Ragsdale YMCA on the campus of Guilford Technical Community College.
“The board and management of Family Service view the move as an opportunity to better serve the Jamestown community,” said Julia Nile, president and CEO of Family Service of the Piedmont. “It makes sense to locate at a hub for family activities—which we believe the Ragsdale YMCA will be. We look forward to integrating the agency’s services with those of the YMCA and GTCC.”
Family Service is also looking to begin offering some direct services later this year at its new site. The agency is exploring providing financial, budget and housing counseling, and educational workshops through its Consumer Credit Counseling Service division as well individual, family and group counseling through its Family Counseling Service.
The new office at the Jamestown YMCA allows Family Service to centralize its administrative functions, in order to focus more direct service at its Washington Street location in Greensboro and The Slane Center in High Point.
About 18 staff members, most of whom were located at the agency’s administrative headquarters at Piedmont Center in High Point, have moved to the Ragsdale Y office. The 8,500 square-feet of office space can accommodate up to 30 staff members.
