As the Guilford County affiliate of Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina, Family Service of the Piedmont heads up the April Blue Ribbon for Kids Campaign during Child Abuse Prevention Month. The campaign, a collaborative effort of several agencies and organizations, brings child abuse awareness materials and information to over 55,000 families in Guilford County.

Here are some ideas for action. You can prevent child abuse.
VOLUNTEER with a local child abuse prevention program.
HELP parents you know by offering to watch the kids.
HELP yourself, as a parent, by getting all the information and support available to you.
ACT when you see someone hurt a child.
WORK to eliminate corporal punishment in your school.
SUPPORT activities during Child Abuse Prevention Month (April) and wear a blue ribbon.
REPORT suspected child abuse and neglect.
ADVOCATE for programs and policies that strengthen families.
DONATE to child abuse programs.
HELP all children in every way you can.
